Managing​/Lead Litigation Attorney

Rabin Parker Gurley, P.A. is looking for an entrepreneurial attorney who is ready to build and expand a litigation practice that they can truly call their own...and share in the rewards of its success.

You will manage your own cases from inception through resolution, with the authority to shape strategy and advocate effectively for clients.

While you will be afforded autonomy, you will also have the support of your colleagues. Our attorneys work closely together, sharing ideas, refining arguments, and supporting one another. You will have access to experienced litigators, skilled paralegals, and strong administrative support.

You will handle substantive matters that sharpen your litigation skills, with ongoing opportunities for professional development and advancement within the firm across a wide range of litigation practice areas. This position is also perfect for an attorney who wants to contribute to the growth of the firm, as the successful candidate will have an opportunity to help expand the practice with real upside tied to the success of the department.

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload from pre-trial through trial and post-trial proceedings.
• Work with and oversee litigation paralegals and legal assistants.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive legal arguments.
• Handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and provide thoughtful client counseling.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex matters and assist with mentoring when appropriate.

• At least 3 years of litigation experience - discovery, hearings, mediations, etc.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
