The Associate Buyer plays a key role in supporting both strategic and day-to-day procurement and supply chain operations. This position involves tactical purchasing, supplier engagement, ERP-based planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. In collaboration with the Senior Buyer, the Associate Buyer contributes to sourcing strategies, vendor management, and sustainability efforts aligned with site objectives.

Responsibilities- Run ERP/MRP reports to identify purchasing needs and support decision‑making
- Create, maintain, and monitor purchase orders; ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate PO dates and supplier acknowledgements in ERP systems
- Manage Kanban inventory levels and respond to demand fluctuations
- Coordinate RFQs/RFPs and assist in vendor negotiations
- Audit supplier performance and support alternate sourcing initiatives
- Analyze safety stock and reorder points
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues
- Leverage internal digital tools and reporting systems to support data‑driven decision‑making and track performance
- Support cost savings goals and sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and recycling programs
- Prepare reports for management, as required
- Develop and document best practices
- Perform other duties as directed / required by supervisor
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related business administration, preferred
- ASCM/APICS certification preferred (CPIM or CSCP) issued within the last 5 years
- 1‑3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain role
- Understanding of the full supply chain/procurement process from requisition to receiving
- Basic knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor relations, and inventory management
- Experience working cross‑functionally with planning, warehouse, quality, and engineering teams
