Job Summary:

The Sales Director will lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The Sales Director will lead our sales strategy and drive growth across key channels. The Sales Director will be responsible for building and executing sales plans, managing relationships with retail partners and distributors, expanding into new markets, and driving revenue through both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the brand’s goals and market positioning.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, including account managers, CSR, sales reps, and agents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale/retail partners (e.g., department stores, boutiques, e-commerce platforms).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Set and manage sales targets, quotas, and forecasts across all apparel product lines.
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and product development to ensure alignment on seasonal launches and go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, fashion events, and key account meetings.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, margin goals, and promotional planning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and adjust strategies as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of the apparel retail landscape, including wholesale, e-commerce, and brick-and-mortar.
  • Proven track record of growing sales revenue and managing high-profile retail accounts.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with sales reporting tools and CRM platforms.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in sales within the fashion/apparel industry.
Physical Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel as needed for account meetings, market visits, and trade shows.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times.
