Job Description
Customer Program Manager – play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the successful execution of customer programs, specifically requiring experience with the Department of Defense.
Manage and deliver customer programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving program performance. Report directly to the Program Director and work out of Phoenix, Clearwater, or Torrance on a Hybrid schedule.
Impact includes strategic direction, execution, risk management, stakeholder engagement, communication, budget management, cross‑functional collaboration, and long‑term sustainability.
Application period: approximately 40 days from posting; may be shortened or extended.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the execution of customer programs.
- Manage and deliver programs within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Identify and mitigate program risks and issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to ensure success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to program teams.
- Monitor and report program performance metrics.
- Ensure customer experience in Aerospace & Defense customers – Primes and/or other suppliers as customers.

Qualifications- Minimum 6 years of program management or related roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of program management principles and methodologies.
- Experience managing customer programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Program management experience in production and/or sustainment programs.
- Experience owning DoD contracts (FAR
15). - Customer experience with Aerospace & Defense customers – Primes and/or other suppliers.
- Understanding of FAR
12 vs FAR
15 contracts. - Lead program management experience (not a support role).
- Hardware development (HD) experience related to aerospace systems.
- Department of Defense experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience in a global organization.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Adaptability to fast‑paced and changing environment.
