Position

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our Assembly Department. This role involves assembling large steel and mechanical components such as trailers, frames, and structural systems. You will work closely with a Senior Mechanical Assembler to ensure builds are completed accurately, efficiently, and to specification. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, experience working with heavy fabricated components, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Welding experience is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precise mechanical assembly of large, fabricated components according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Work closely with the Senior Mechanical Assembler to plan and execute assembly projects.
  • Use mechanical techniques such as heating, freezing, and alignment to achieve proper fits and tolerances.
  • Inspect and verify assemblies to ensure conformance with drawings and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized work areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment to position and secure large assemblies.
  • Identify and communicate any discrepancies or issues during the build process.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, preferably with large steel or trailer assemblies.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools.
  • Reliable form of transportation is required.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
