Millathane Operator

SALARY:

$17 per hour

Signing Bonus - $1000 paid after 90 days

SUMMARY

Understand all aspects of Millathane.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, and transport load to designated area.

Operator must be able to work in our 5004 Room

Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.

Operate Millathane processing machine; check weights, temperatures, flow rates, and pressures on all components.

Correctly pack and label Millathane products with correct lot numbers and Mooney viscosities.

Start-up procedure to run the banbury. Understand the pressures and temperatures as well as amperage and flow of the material within.

Operate and safely run the rubber mills.

Operator must be able to read, understand and follow Quality System Procedures.

Operator should be trained or have knowledge on the basic chemical operations, like the weighing and mixing of ingredients.

Note: This position requires applicants to successfully pass a pre-employment, as well as an annual pulmonary function test (PFT). This position may expose the employee to isocyanates which are chemicals known to be respiratory irritants and sensitizers. While TSE provides personal protective equipment (PPE) to its employees working around such chemicals, the most current and best available medical data indicate that individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions including but not limited to asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and the like are at high risk of experiencing serious, and possibly fatal reactions to isocyanates, even at concentrations below the legally permissible exposure level (PEL).

Therefore, due to this direct threat to their safety, TSE does not hire individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions to work in this position. Likewise, TSE does not employ smokers to work in this position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-

one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
