Production Manager, Manufacturing Production
Hiring an experienced shop Foreman to oversee machine shop operations, ensuring the shop meets production targets and delivery schedules. This role manages all shop employees, upholds safety standards, and ensures production output meets the highest quality expectations.
We make simple parts out of aluminum and stainless steel, candidates / applicants must have experience working with these.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Plan and execute the production schedule to achieve delivery targets.
- Coordinate employee schedules, machine/station assignments, materials, and tooling for each job.
- Oversee job setup, personnel performance, and training.
- Enforce safety standards and create a safety-minded work environment to minimize risk.
- Maintain and track the equipment maintenance schedule, ensuring timely repairs and minimizing downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce setup times, improve efficiency, and control production costs.
- Collaborate with the CNC Programmer to streamline machining steps and save time.
- Ensure machines with bar feeders are scheduled for continuous operation, including overnight and weekend runs.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing production environment, with hands-on experience on CNC Lathes and Mills.
- 2+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer.
- Proficient inG-code and M-code programming.
- Fluent in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading.
- Strong understanding of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and unit conversions.
- Proficient with Mastercam; certification preferred.
- Experience with 3D machining is a plus.
- 5+ years of management experience with proven ability to lead, train, and motivate teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with ERP or shop management software, and Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PDF).
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
- Familiarity with
ISO 9001 standards preferred. - Six Sigma Green Belt required;
Black Belt certification preferred.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and stack products weighing 35–45 pounds.
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours, with scheduled breaks.
- Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive tasks (2–4 hours at a time).
We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.
Hours, compensationandbenefits:Full-time:
Monday through Friday, 8m to 5pm, with some flexibility based on production needs.
Hourly rate $35.00 per hour, open to negotiation based on skills and experience.
After 30-day waiting period employees become eligible for Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, paid holidays and paid time off that increase with longevity. After an initial 90-day waiting period employees can participate in the company sponsored 401k plan.
