CNC Lathe Machinist – Lead (Weekend Shift)

Apply for the CNC Lathe Machinist – Lead position at Zaniboni Lighting. This lead machinist will run the weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm with a 30‑minute lunch break (three 12‑hour days).

Weekend shift:
Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am – 6:30 pm with a 30‑minute lunch break. Hourly rate $30+ per hour, negotiable based on skillset and experience.

• Lead weekend operations: select jobs and machine assignments.
• Train operators on machining operations and quality requirements.
• Resolve problems with program edits, speed adjustments, and quality issues.
• Make G‑Code and M‑Code adjustments and offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Keep machine setup time to a minimum and maintain production output.
• Collaborate with the CNC programmer on program improvements.
• Perform basic routine maintenance of machines (cleaning and maintenance only).
• Maintain documentation related to part production and company records.
• Observe and enforce safety policies and procedures.

• At least 5 years of CNC machining manufacturing experience using aluminum.
• Proven leadership experience, able to train and guide a small team.
• Fluent in Y‑lathe machines with live tooling.
• Strong knowledge of G‑Code and M‑Code.
• Proficient in algebra, geometry, and metric‑to‑imperial conversions.
• Expertise in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountability for part quality.
• OSHA 10‑hour certification (minimum requirement).

Ability to lift, carry, and stack product weighing 30–50 pounds. Work up to 12 hours per shift with occasional bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive work for 2–4 hours at a time. Anti‑fatigue mats and stools are provided.

Zaniboni Lighting is a Florida drug‑free workplace. All employees must complete a pre‑employment 10‑panel drug screen; employment will depend on passing the screening and ongoing quarterly tests.
