Shift & RateFirst Shift: Monday to Thursday 5am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break (4 days x 10 hour days). Hourly rate $26+ per hour, negotiable based on skillset and experience.
Setup Machinist OverviewThe setup machinist does setups for the operators to run jobs on CNC Lathes and Mills. We have Okuma and HAAS with sub-spindle, live tooling and bar feeders.
Duties & Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets and work instructions.
- Setup jobs and tools.
- Perform first-article inspection to ensure parts adhere to tolerances.
- Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed.
- Troubleshoot machinery and production issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
- Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
- 2+ years experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills.
- Must have experience setting up jobs on CNC Okuma and HAAS.
- Must have experience with live tooling and bar feeders.
- Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
- Experienced with G-code and M-code programming.
- Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
- Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
- OSHA 10-hour.
Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. Ability to stand for 10 hours with breaks, occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and repetitive work 2-4 hours at a time. Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
