Position Summary
The Family Wellness Coordinator Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and guiding a team of Family Wellness Coordinators in their efforts to promote and enhance the well-being of youth and their families. This position involves providing guidance, support, and coordination to ensure the effective implementation of family‑focused events and programming, initiatives, and activities that foster positive relationships, communication, social connectedness, and community engagement.
The Team Leader plays a critical role in organizing, coordinating, and aligning the team’s actions.
- Team Leadership:
Provide strong leadership to the Family Wellness Coordinator team, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment. Set clear goals, expectations, and priorities, and ensure effective communication within the team. Ensure all activities and events are well published, well documented, well run, and well coordinated. - Program Development and Coordination:
Become a knowledge expert on the CDC Resource for Action on Suicide Prevention, utilizing the framework to guide the team in developing and implementing youth and family‑focused activities and initiatives that promote social wellness. Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and community needs. - Support Assurance:
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Family Wellness Coordinators. Direct and approve event materials, address any challenges or concerns that arise, and foster professional growth within the team. - Collaboration and Partnerships:
Serve as a liaison on the Youth and Family subcommittee of the Zero Suicide Partners of Pinellas. Foster strong relationships and collaborations with Suncoast Center staff, community organizations, local agencies, and stakeholders. Seek partnership opportunities and leverage resources to enhance family social wellness initiatives. - Resource Development:
Coordinate with the team and Zero Suicide Partners of Pinellas communications specialist to curate materials, toolkits, and educational resources for families. Ensure resources are relevant, accessible, and tailored to diverse family needs. - Evaluation and Reporting:
Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of family social wellness programs and initiatives. Analyze data, measure outcomes, generate reports to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and communicate impact to stakeholders. - Leadership Alignment:
Follow direction from the Total Family Strategy Manager, providing regular updates on the team’s progress, challenges, and successes. Contribute to strategic planning and decision‑making related to family wellness initiatives.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Family Studies, Education, or a related field. - Leadership:
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. - Interpersonal:
Effective interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and community partners. - Program
Experience:
Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation focused on family wellness and community engagement. - Community Resources:
Familiarity with community resources, support services, and networks available to families. - Empathy:
Ability to work with diverse populations and address sensitive issues. - Organizational:
Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives. - Data
Skills:
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting for monitoring and evaluation. - Financial:
Knowledge of budget management principles and experience in financial oversight. - Computer Literacy:
Proficient in using computers for program and data management.
- Continued drug screening and a negative drug test result.
- Continued clear criminal background check compliant with Florida laws and administrative codes.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record, valid insurance, valid registration, and personal motor vehicle for daily use.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and acceptable driving record for Suncoast Center.
Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Requires both indoor and outdoor work with outreach to off‑site locations. Exposure to extreme heat and humidity during the summer months. Schedule may be irregular and will include evenings and weekends. Work is primarily off‑site in community locations.
