SUMMARY: Performs assigned duties that protect and ensure the safety and dignity of residents. Works together with the Wellness Coordinator to ensure that resident care goals are being met.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform position-specific duties at an acceptable level. Responsibilities are completed by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame. Good communication skills are essential. Education and/or Experience: Ability to read, write, speak clearly, and follow written and oral instructions. Must be willing and able to make decisions when responsible for the facility.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete and stay current in all training requirements under ALF regulations with AHCA.

Skills and Abilities
: Must understand the needs of the elderly, including dietary requirements, special requests, and following recipes with care and love.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderate physical demands including walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:
- Cook meals according to menus.
- Meet all food nutrition guidelines.
- Cook foods to proper temperatures.
- Maintain food at proper temperatures.
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Use dishwasher ensuring ppm between 50-100.
- Know and follow the food code.
- Record food and refrigerator/freezer temperatures.
- Keep the kitchen floor clean and sanitized.
- Meet residents' special requests when possible.
- Answer phones as needed.
