Position: Sales Clerk Leader
Salary: $16.80/hour
Location: Clearwater, FL — Exchange
Work Schedule: Full Time (30‑40 hours/week)

Responsibilities- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with merchandise selection.
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Oversee overall operations of the sales department.
- Order and receive merchandise; price items and monitor stock levels.
- Coordinate price changes, markdowns, promotional sets, and signage with store management.
- Communicate with HQ staff to resolve special orders and merchandise issues.
- Assist store management in training employees on cash register and front‑end duties.
- Operate the cash register, accept various forms of payment, and prepare disbursement documents.
- Prepare, verify, and issue cash change; collect and reconcile cash receipts and register tapes.
- Maintain cash overage and shortage records for each cashier daily.
- Ensure control and security of the change fund, safe, and cash registers.
- Open and close the store as required.
- Direct and supervise employees; assume overall store responsibilities in the manager’s absence.
- Follow all policies regarding loss prevention, including shrink and the Alert Line.
- Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally; stand for long periods.
- Experience operating a cash register and knowledge of sales inventory.
- Previous retail supervisory experience performing the duties described above.
- Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience as a USCG NAF sales clerk.
