OverviewThe Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
Responsibilities- Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product.
- Ability to prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.
- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk/hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb/step up ladder, balance, lift/carry up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), push/pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; contact with cleaning supplies.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Work Environment: Retail store environment, limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Ensure professional appearance and proper grooming; retail dress code applies.

Skills:
English primary; bilingual may be required based on business necessity.
