Overview
This position is in the BRS Department and involves managing, performing and assisting all facets of HVAC remediation, duct cleaning and microbial mitigation. The Field will interact with client contacts (e.g., facilities personnel, tenants) and report to PACS/BRS management. Travel may be extensive, including national and international destinations, with overnight absences typically four nights per week. The candidate should adhere to the PACS Employee Handbook, Customer Service Guide, OSHA policies, and health and safety manuals/training.
Responsibilities- Performs and ensures high-quality mold mitigation and HVAC cleaning, ductwork cleaning, disinfecting, restoration, and sanitizing meeting corporate QA/QC guidelines.
- Adheres to project budgets and contractual schedules.
- Enforces industry-standard protocol for the department.
- Manages on-site BRS Remediation Crew.
- Responsible for Field Time Sheet Management, daily progress reporting, photo documentation, and other required documentation.
- Performs on-site and ongoing inspection of project work.
- Conducts on-site safety meetings and provides training to new crew personnel (safety and procedures).
- Oversees equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repair.
- Manages trailer/truck inventory and reporting of materials used.
- Performs HVAC remediation, duct cleaning, HVAC restoration, and decontamination as required.
- Performs installation of air purification systems.
- Performs all contractual services for local and non-local clients utilizing company-provided vehicles.
- Interfaces with and supports Building Sciences workers and other project personnel on site.
- Performs field inspections of projects and provides recommendations/reports to the Project Manager.
- Supports job estimation and assists with change orders.
- Maintains contact with all levels of PACS and BRS management.
- Demonstrates core competencies in IAQ, duct cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and mold remediation.
- NADCA certification required; must obtain certification within 90–120 days of employment.
- Additional certifications required during employment with PACS, such as IICRC, ACAC – CMRS, CMR or CRMR, and State Mold Remediator/Assessor.
- Capable of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
- Experience with inventory control and usage; understands blueprints and HVAC symbols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with client contacts.
- Read and adhere to the PACS Employee Handbook and Customer Service Guide, OSHA policies, and health and safety manuals/training.
- Position works in the BRS Department where contaminants exist; applicable OSHA and other regulatory safety equipment must be worn according to policy.
- Travel may be as high as 100% with territories covering national and international destinations.
- Overnight absences required, typically four nights per week.
