Position Summary Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay pairs youth with a caring adult mentor to help them reach their full potential. The School-to-Work program is a 2-year program for high school students where they are matched with a professional mentor and go to the workplace one time a month to meet with their mentor.
This position will have responsibility for the oversight of a School-to-Work program consistent with the goals of the agency's Strategic Plan. Primary responsibilities include continued development of relationships with identified School-to-Work employee partners and School district/high school partners for referrals and resources; data input, planning, and coordinating of School-to-Work program and providing status updates.
Enrollment, creating, supporting, and maintaining matches in the School-to-Work program are primary responsibilities in this role. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and meet one of the following criteria:
A Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, counseling, child development, or a related field from an accredited college or university; candidates within six months of degree completion may also be considered.
An Associate degree or completion of two years of higher education in a related field (human services, social work, counseling, child development) from an accredited institution, plus two years of relevant work experience.
A minimum of four years of relevant work experience in fields such as social services, counseling, child development, or other agency-defined related areas.
Preferred 2- years’ experience working with teens or volunteers.
Experience building partnerships and linking resources.
Demonstrate Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimum
