As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of innovative software solutions that drive the success of our aerospace products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and implement software applications that meet the needs of our customers. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid schedule.

• Design, code, test, integrate, qualify, and document test software for Clearwater Space products, including Inertial Navigation Units (INU’s) and Single Board Computers (SBC’s).
• Complete tasks under the supervision of a test software technical lead. Learn and utilize the Aerospace Engineering Process (AEP) to develop high‑quality test software products on time and within budgeted hours.
• Interact with internal customers and team members and participate in peer reviews and major design reviews.
• Participate in year‑over‑year (YoY) improvement projects with other department team members.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of programming languages such as C# or C++.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.

• Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience developing in C# for Windows Desktop applications.
• Experience developing in C/C++ for embedded applications including hardware‑software integration.
• Experience performing data analysis and algorithm development in MATLAB.
• Experience in developing applications in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
• Passion for technology and innovation.
