Job Summary:
Responsible for the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom, laboratory, shop, or other learning environment.
- Education:
Associate degree and industry certifications preferred. - Experience:
Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught preferred.
- Acts as a resource for instructional and curricular issues.
- Maintains course syllabi.
- Teaches assigned classes and fulfills all instructor responsibilities.
- Maintains work area, shops, labs, and/or equipment in safe and sound condition.
- Submit all paperwork in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Working knowledge of ACGM, WECM, and GIPWE.
- Adheres to guidelines and regulations of external agencies and maintains required licenses and certifications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to operate instructional technology and learning management systems.
- Working knowledge of Hill College vision, mission, values, and Code of Conduct.
- Working knowledge of the policies and procedures of Hill College.
- Ability to develop and implement long and short-term strategies aligned with institutional goals.
- Ability to lead and manage change effectively.
- Ability to develop and execute plans independently and collaboratively.
- Collaborates with faculty and Dean to develop and revise courses and curricula.
- Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Effective leadership and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to continuous learning.

- Skilled in conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving.

- Maintains discretion and confidentiality in all matters.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Security-sensitive position.
- Travels between campuses as needed.
Medium work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for sedentary work.
