Job Summary:

Responsible for the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom, laboratory, shop, or other learning environment.

Minimum Required
  • Education:

    Associate degree and industry certifications preferred.
  • Experience:

    Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught preferred.
Core Duties and Required Knowledge
  • Acts as a resource for instructional and curricular issues.
  • Maintains course syllabi.
  • Teaches assigned classes and fulfills all instructor responsibilities.
  • Maintains work area, shops, labs, and/or equipment in safe and sound condition.
  • Submit all paperwork in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of ACGM, WECM, and GIPWE.
  • Adheres to guidelines and regulations of external agencies and maintains required licenses and certifications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to operate instructional technology and learning management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Hill College vision, mission, values, and Code of Conduct.
  • Working knowledge of the policies and procedures of Hill College.
Strategic Vision and Program Development
  • Ability to develop and implement long and short-term strategies aligned with institutional goals.
  • Ability to lead and manage change effectively.
  • Ability to develop and execute plans independently and collaboratively.
Collaboration
  • Collaborates with faculty and Dean to develop and revise courses and curricula.

Physical Requirements

Medium work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for sedentary work.
