Maintains production and quality by ensuring efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

- Act as a maintenance first responder for day-to-day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and working with team members to resolve.
- Safely replaces defective parts by using hoists, cranes, and/or hand & power tools.
- Works rotating shifts with a fellow shift mechanic to support facility operations.
- Minimum
Job Requirements:- Associate degree in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education a plus
- At least 2 years of heavy industrial mechanical and millwright experience in a continuous operating (24/7) manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and continual diligence about follow-up.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Computer skills required to track work and check out parts using our maintenance database system (CMMS)
- Experience working on a rotating shift.
- Ability to manage multiple priories while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Skilled with the use of a variety of hand and portable tools, as well as general welding.
- Positive attitude and strong desire to learn.
Working Environment:
This position requires knowledge and awareness of hazards related to industrial manufacturing sites. Protective gear will be required where appropriate. Candidates must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, holidays, overtime, and weekends as needed to meet business objectives.
