Full-Time Retail Sales Associate at First Cash (Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate)

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

Pay range: $10.00 to $13.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.53 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Commission Plan Information: The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details provided during interview.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate is responsible for greeting and serving customers, processing sales and loans, and maintaining the appearance of the sales floor. You will work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This role offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Works with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.) as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Willing to assist customers exterior to the building as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience is preferred
• Must be able to work at multiple locations; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems
