Toolmaker

Cubed Talent are recruiting for a Toolmaker/CNC miller to join our client based in Cleckheaton.

The client is a long‑standing, established engineering business.

• Manufacture, modify, repair and refurbish all types of tooling.
• Hands‑on experience in CNC milling or fitting, and experience in at least one of the following: conversant with CNC milling or fitting, turning, spark eroding, wire eroding (advantageous).
• Training available to learn other skills if required.
• Manufacture new tools to detailed drawings.
• Repair and maintain mould tools.
• Successfully modify tools to drawing.
• Modifications to existing tools.
• Day‑to‑day service and repair of existing tools – support of production tooling.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience to offer:

• Time served toolmaker or equivalent experience.
• Experience in plastic injection moulding (advantageous).
• Experience of building tools from start to finish.
• Working knowledge of CAD systems.
• Fault‑finding skills and experience.
• Experience of interpreting engineering drawings.
• Used to working to tight deadlines.
• Experienced in the operation of lathes, millers, grinders, CNC machines, wire EDM and other standard tool room machinery and equipment.
• Driving licence preferred as may be required to deliver tools occasionally but not necessary.

• Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm;
  Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (open to discussions around flexibility).
• Overtime available as & when required.
• 33 days holiday, including bank holidays.
• Salary: £31,616 – £33,592 per annum, depending on experience.
