Material Control Clerk

Reports to:

Manager, Planning and Materials

Maintains and issues material in the stockroom.

• Conduct all operating system transactions for all material receipts and issues of material into and out of the Parts Integrity Area (PIA).
• Receive material from incoming inspection or SIDA suppliers into the stockroom.
• Pull material for Assembly jobs, including stack‑up, from PIA based on the pull list provided by Production Control.
• Fill backorders for material shortages to job pulls once material is available.
• Deliver material to the appropriate area that was over‑issued or used for production returns.
• Issue material for engineering requests per Production Control.
• Perform daily cycle counts.
• Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.

• Read, write legibly, and understand English.
• Perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Perform basic computer skills (open and save files, basic data entry).
• Understand basic terminology used in the job functional area.

Supervisory responsibility
The Inventory/Material Control Clerk role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required education, certification, and experience

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• May require lifting, pulling and carrying up to forty (40) pounds.
• Frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching.
• Sitting for up to twelve (12) hours per day, standing up to twelve (12) hours per day, or a combination of sitting and standing.
• Near vision of 20/25 (Snellen) at 16 inches (42 cm) ± 1 inch (2.54 cm) in at least one eye, natural or corrected, and/or Jaeger No. 1 not less than 12 inches (30 cm) in at least one eye, natural or corrected.
