. Explore an opportunity with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as we welcome a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Pediatrics Anesthesia Team in Winston Salem, NC at Brenner Children's Hospital.

Brenner Children’s Hospital, now part of Levine Children’s, houses one of the leading pediatric anesthesia and pain management programs in North Carolina. Working with our Pediatrics Anesthesia Team offers opportunities to work with multiple medical specialties and a wide range of pediatric procedures—from routine to complex cardiac cases.
What You’ll DoAs a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during pediatric procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Mentor and precept Student Nurse Anesthetists where appropriate
- Use medical decision-making skills to determine perioperative and anesthesia care plans considering co-morbidities and age/developmental guidelines
- Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care
- Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention
- Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards and confidentiality
- Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care
- Exhibit professionalism through teamwork and ongoing professional development
- Contribute to cost containment by conserving resources
- Perform other related duties as assigned
The clinician functions under regulatory mandates from the North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing with departmental credentialing from the institution.
CRNA Requirements- Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program;
Master’s Degree or higher required - Registered Nurse licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and current certification/recertification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board
- Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of privileges
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse clinical teams
