Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Student Services Coordinator

Job Summary:
Advises and supports undergraduate students to aid in timely and successful degree progress. Assesses student needs and identifies and refers students to resources. Develops and implements student programs to support retention and engagement. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Course Selection (Essential):
Advises and counsels students on course selection and registration procedures. Advising caseload will be assigned based on the needs of the department. Develops and maintains confidential records. - Academic Progress (Essential):
Advises and counsels students on academic progress, University and departmental policies, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to other campus resources as needed. Serves as a key resource to faculty and administrative officers regarding student information and policies. - Program Coordination (Essential):
Plans and organizes student-centered initiatives, programs, or events (e.g., outreach and developmental programming, orientation, bridge and transfer programs, advising communications, software implementation, event coordination). Maintains schedule, manages logistics, recruits participants, communicates and reports on program outcomes. Guides the work of other advisors and staff; attends relevant meetings and serves as liaison for the department. - Service (Essential):
Participates in departmental, College, and University-wide initiatives related to advising and student success by providing staff support, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a successful program. Assists with College recruiting and engagement programming as needed.
Education:
1st Bachelor's Degree — Experience in student services programs.

Firm Job Knowledge — Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.

Expected Salary Range: $39,764.00 - $54,000.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelNormal Operations — Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
