Evergreen - Part Time Visiting Lecturer - Department of Teaching and Learning
Clemson University MBA Programs is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill course instruction needs in the Department of Teaching and Learning. This part‑time opportunity to teach one or more courses is available on an as‑needed basis. Courses may be offered in spring, summer, and/or fall terms and be offered in one or more modalities ranging from in‑person to asynchronous online. The start date varies according to departmental teaching needs.
The areas of content expertise required align with undergraduate program areas, which include:
Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education (Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science), Secondary Education (English, Mathematics, Social Studies/History, and Science), and Modern Languages Education (American Sign Language, French, and Spanish). Content expertise needs at the graduate level are aligned with program areas in our Master of Arts in Teaching Programs (Middle Level, Secondary, and Modern Languages) as well as our Master of Education Program in Teaching and Learning.
For qualified applicants, instructional opportunities in doctoral level content may be needed to include dissertation writing and support.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field. - Doctoral (or terminal degree) in a related field (required to teach in graduate‑level programs).
- Expertise in content aligned with a departmental program area.
- A commitment to inclusive teaching, creating an inclusive learning and working environment, and working alongside persons with diverse backgrounds.
- Previous higher education teaching experience.
- Experience teaching with modality in which course is offered.
- Practical experience in an applied field aligned with a departmental program area.

Applicants should submit the following documents: letter of interest that details content expertise aligned with a departmental program area, experience teaching in one or more modalities, and information about teaching availability (terms available, start date available, number of courses available to teach each term with four as maximum); resume or curriculum vitae; names and contact information for three references;
and unofficial transcripts. Applications will be received and reviewed on an ongoing basis. The department chair or program coordinator will contact applicants with additional questions or needs if required. Part‑time visiting lecturer positions will be filled prior to the start of each term. All applicants will remain in the pool indefinitely unless they request to have their application removed from the pool.
