Description

The Department of Finance in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for a full time (nine months), non-tenure track position. The preferred candidates are expected to be hired as a Lecturer. The compensation package includes benefits. The position is term-limited and renewable annually based on performance and availability of funding.

Job duties will include teaching four (4) in-person courses each semester (fall and spring) at the undergraduate level for courses such as Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Markets and Institutions, and/or other classes based on areas of expertise. Course teaching assignments typically include two to three preps and may vary across semesters. Faculty members are also expected to make service contributions to the department, Wilbur O.

and Ann Powers College of Business, and Clemson University. The start date is January 1, 2027

The Finance program currently has over 1,300 finance majors, 16 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, three clinical faculty members, and eight full-time lecturers.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a master’s or terminal degree in finance or a related field (e.g., Master of Business Administration). Preference will be given to candidates with applicable industry experience or comparable teaching experience. All applicants should have potential for excellence in teaching, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to teach a variety of finance classes at the undergraduate level.
