Job SummaryPsychologist with generalist clinical skills. Adheres to practitioner‑scholar model with multicultural competency. Other duties as assigned.
Job Duties- 60% – Direct Services:
Provide clinical services in individual, couples, group/workshop, and online formats. Conduct mental health assessments, treatment planning, and psychological evaluations. - 15% – Administrative Duties:
Complete documentation in the electronic health record, case conference meetings, and required CAPS paperwork. - 15% – Crisis Intervention & Consultation:
Offer on‑site crisis intervention, on‑call duties, consultation, outreach, and support trainee professional development. - 5% – Research & Training:
Conduct in‑service training for CAPS staff and trainees, complete mandatory training, and support data collection for program evaluation. - 5% – Professional Development:
Participate in staff and committee meetings, maintain LPC license, attend conferences, and adhere to APA and ACPA ethical standards and accreditation requirements.
- Doctoral or Professional Degree in applied psychology from an accredited college or university and experience in the practice of applied psychology.
- Licensed psychologist.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with university student population preferred.
- Firm knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures, and ability to use them in varied situations.
- No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities.
- 90% – Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period.
- 90% – Walk or move about.
- 90% – Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself.
- 90% – Recognize or inspect visually.
- 90% – Perceive, observe, clarity of vision.

Work ScheduleStandard hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation InformationExpected salary: $69,765.00 – $85,418.00. Salary depends on experience, knowledge, skills, and performance according to Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelEssential Level 1 employee. Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations to provide the University’s initial response to the emergency situation, including mission essential functions. Some positions may be required to work remotely or be on‑call.
