The Office of Advocacy and Success (OAS) is seeking two highly motivated and student-centered professionals to join our team as Coordinators for Advocacy and Success
. These positions play a vital role in Clemson’s commitment to holistic student support, providing individualized care and advocacy to help students persist and thrive. The CARE Network serves as the university’s hub for non‑clinical case management and coordinated student support. We work with students experiencing a wide range of challenges, connecting them with resources and empowering them to overcome barriers to success and holistic well‑being.
Coordinators manage a caseload of referred students and provide individualized, non‑clinical support. Additionally, they serve as advocates and resource navigators, guiding students through complex challenges while fostering self‑advocacy, resilience, and growth. The Student Care Coordinator role leads departmental communications, developing messaging, outreach, and education initiatives that strengthen awareness of the CARE Network. The Basic Needs Coordinator coordinates Clemson’s basic needs support services, ensuring students have access to resources that address food insecurity, housing challenges, and other essential needs.
Both coordinators contribute to crisis response efforts, outreach programming, and campus‑wide education, while collaborating with faculty, staff, and campus partners to cultivate a responsive, supportive environment for all Clemson students.

Job Duties- 60% – Essential – Case Management:
Provides non‑clinical case management to students experiencing crisis and non‑crisis concerns. Meets individually with students to assess needs, explore support strategies, and connect them to relevant campus and community resources. Follows up on referrals through the CARE Network and submissions to the Notification of Absence (NOA) system. Coordinates support with faculty, staff, families, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.
Maintains accurate, detailed, and timely case documentation per departmental standards. Participates in regular case review meetings and contributes to collaborative decision‑making. - 10% – Essential – Communications:
Develops and implements communication strategies to increase awareness of the CARE Network and student support services. Manages and maintains the department’s website, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and accessible. Oversees social media platforms and coordinates digital campaigns to engage students, staff, and faculty. Designs and distributes newsletters, promotional materials, and educational content. Tracks communication metrics and engagement analytics to assess impact and guide improvements.
Serves as a liaison to university partners, including CCIT and Academic Affairs, regarding the NOA system. - 10% – Essential – Crisis/On‑Call Response:
Assists with coordinating the university response to critical student concerns (e.g., alcohol/drug misuse, threats of harm to self and others, etc.). Participates in the Dean On‑Call (DOC) rotation to respond to after‑hours student crises, primarily involving hospital transports. Provides follow‑up case management for students involved in critical incidents. Represents the department in university‑wide emergency response efforts, including the Emergency Management Council (EMC) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC), as needed. - 10% – Essential –…
