Student Assistant, Media Editor, and Producer

JOB SUMMARY:

This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation of departmental activities.

This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of not to exceed 25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities.

Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating. Students cannot work during class meeting times.

* Transfer, set up, and removal of A/V equipment as directed

* Assist with tracking equipment inventory

* Ensure a clean and safe workspace.

* Assisting with the recording and editing of media.

* Scheduling and communicating with faculty and supervisors

* Attend all meetings and training sessions as required

* Maintain a working cell phone for calls on standby projects

* Perform other duties as assigned

* Strong Organizational and multitasking skills

* Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and iOS

* Some knowledge of basic video connections

* Some knowledge of basic podcasting and OBS

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
