Overview
Join to apply for the Full-time Froster/Baker role at Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) as part of the opening crew for a new bakery in Clermont, Florida.
Position and ReportingTITLE: Froster/Baker
REPORTS TO: Bakery Manager/Lead Operator
Responsibilities- Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision to achieve quality and productivity goals.
- Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
- Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment, places cake pans into the oven, and monitors the baking process.
- Adheres to proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cakes, product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.
- Assists Bakery Manager in developing cake production plans, monitors inventory of baking supplies, and notifies management when replenishment is required.
- Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and reports any quality control issues.
- Frosts cakes using NbC proprietary frosting recipes and application methods with precision to meet demand.
- Utilizes measuring instruments, mixers (handheld or commercial), and pastry bags to frost cakes.
- Prioritizes cake pre-orders and frost walk-in guest orders accordingly; ensures adequate frosting supplies and par levels for the bakery display case.
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitization, and restocking of the workstation; ensures equipment is ready for the next shift and assists with dishwasher/utility tasks as needed.
- Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies, including dress code and personal hygiene.
- Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret recipes and operating procedures, and apply knowledge to job responsibilities. NbC recipes are available in English and Spanish.
- Understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
- Ability to perform repetitious tasks with precise and steady movement of arms, wrists, hands and fingers.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Meticulous attention to exact measurements, timing, and working on a fast-paced production schedule.
- Ability to evaluate products, processes, information and surroundings to ensure standards are met.
- Disciplined and detail-oriented, maintaining strict adherence to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
- Self-motivated, organized, with the ability to prioritize workload and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- While no formal education or work experience is required, prior experience in an operational support role at a bakery or restaurant or in a food service environment is a plus.
Must have flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
