Location:
Clevedon, North Somerset
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Abatec are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our client’s operation in Clevedon, near Bristol. The business specialises in delivering tailored furniture and interior equipment solutions for healthcare facilities, supporting projects across both the NHS and private sectors.
Working alongside construction contractors and other project stakeholders, the company delivers a varied portfolio of work, ranging from large-scale healthcare developments to refurbishment and improvement programmes.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, commercially aware Project Manager who understands the challenges of delivering specialist installations in a construction or fit-out environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the planning and delivery of furniture and FF&E installation projects within healthcare environments.
* Coordinate contractors, customers, suppliers and internal departments throughout each project.
* Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure requirements are clearly understood before work begins.
* Manage project schedules, material procurement and installation activities to meet agreed deadlines and budgets.
* Visit sites regularly to monitor progress, resolve issues and ensure work is completed to the required standard.
* Complete inspections, identify outstanding works and coordinate snagging through to resolution.
* Ensure installations meet relevant site requirements, quality expectations and applicable healthcare standards.
* Maintain effective communication with all parties, providing updates on progress and addressing potential delays or challenges.
What You’ll Need
* Previous experience managing projects within joinery, commercial interiors, furniture installation or fit-out.
* Experience coordinating site-based works and working with multiple contractors or stakeholders.
* The ability to interpret technical drawings and work from detailed project specifications.
* Strong planning skills, with the confidence to manage competing priorities and several projects at once.
* A professional approach to customer relationships and site communication.
* An NVQ in Project Management and a relevant CSCS card.
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
