Supply Teacher – Ad Hoc Cover Portishead | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Starting September

We’re working with a large, well-established primary school in Portishead that is looking to build a reliable pool of Supply Teachers to support with ad hoc and short-term cover. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers seeking flexibility, whether you’re available full-time, part-time, or on specific days.

This is a varied and flexible teaching role, covering classes across different year groups as needed. You’ll step in to ensure continuity of learning and maintain a positive classroom environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.

This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety, can adapt quickly, and are confident managing different classroom settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of different pupils
• Providing feedback to staff following each day or assignment
• Integrating quickly into new classroom environments

We’re looking for teachers who:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• Are flexible, reliable, and confident teaching across the primary age range
• Can quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Are available for full-time and/or part-time work
