Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to producing products whose quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and over £9 million of investment, they are expanding. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Benefits Package
  • £52,000 to £53,700 per year, including overtime
  • 9% Pension scheme

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays; option to buy or sell 5 days
  • Weekend shift patterns – Friday, 1 weekend in 4 with time off in the week; double time for weekends with bank holiday double time in lieu
Role & Responsibilities
  • Perform planned maintenance inspections.
  • Review parts used and recommend improvements aligned with projects and maintenance schedules.
  • Carry out safety checks on a range of equipment.
  • Monitor plant conditions, report defects and repair machinery.
  • Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs and risk assessments.
  • Report on plant performance using systems and ensure action on non‑conformance issues.
  • Work on a range of valves and pumps.
  • Support production and continuous improvement projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Formal Engineering Qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship trained.
  • Continuous improvement knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
  • Experience in food, packaging, drink or manufacturing environments.
