Lead Systems Services Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Services Engineer to own critical site activities, lead multidisciplinary teams, and serve as the primary technical authority for advanced BH control systems and auxiliary subsea oil and gas control technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead field operations support: installation, commissioning, and maintenance of BH control systems; provide expert guidance to engineering teams, contractors, and customers.
  • Lead system startup, calibration, sequencing, and high‑level troubleshooting for BH control systems and auxiliary subsea oil and gas control technologies.
  • Supervise complex diagnostics, including tuning, inspections, component replacements, and system operation verification.
  • Oversee execution of maintenance, modifications, upgrades, testing, and repairs on software‑based control systems, instrumentation, hydro‑mechanical, and auxiliary subsea oil and gas control subsystems.
  • Create, review, and approve technical documentation, such as engineering estimates, specifications, test procedures, service reports, method statements, and health assessments.
  • Ensure all work meets Baker Hughes' technical and quality standards.
  • Act as senior technical authority: provide guidance, address escalations, and ensure timely resolution of customer concerns; interface across operations, engineering, and customer leadership.
  • Lead technical reviews, site meetings, and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and guide junior engineers and Field Service Engineers; support technical competency growth, promote best practices, and foster safe, efficient execution of services activities.
  • Lead engineering scopes with strict adherence to HSE standards, risk assessments, and safe‑system‑of‑work processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or Computer Engineering.
  • Extensive experience supporting industrial control systems and auxiliary subsea oil and gas control technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Strong understanding of control systems and auxiliary subsea oil and gas control technologies.
  • Ability to read, interpret, create, review, and approve engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.
  • Willingness to travel, including international or offshore assignments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer‑facing skills.
  • Strong commitment to operational safety and service excellence.
