Machine Operator

Full-Time | Permanent | £14.43 – £25.10 per hour Days/Nights Shift | No Weekends

Abatec Ltd. is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading name in extrusion, for a Machine Operator to join their busy Production Team based in Yatton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Machine Operator to work in a modern, safety-focused manufacturing environment, working with high-quality products.

The Role

You will operate and maintain machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate machinery within your assigned area, achieving targeted output with minimal downtime.

* Set up, adjust, and monitor machine controls, including start-up and shut-down procedures.

* Minimise material waste and optimise production efficiency.

* Maintain a clean and organised work area.

* Adhere to all company safety, quality, and production procedures.

About You

Essential Skills & Attributes:

* Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or engineering setting.

* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

* Experience working with aluminium or extrusion machinery (preferred but not essential).

* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
