Base Pay Range

$23.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. The role involves supporting and overseeing repair within the Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand, digital, and power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training for safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move and operate ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

• Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate.
• Eligible for bonus incentive.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 – $45.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
