Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

We are excited to be hiring an Accountant on behalf of one of our clients! Established in 1973, they are a leading multinational company specializing in flexible packaging and hygiene component solutions headquartered in Turkey. They have grown to become one of the largest manufacturers in Europe, providing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, healthcare, personal care, and industrial sectors.

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration
• Minimum 5 years of total experience
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• CPA, Enrolled Agent, or seasoned U.S. tax professional with strong experience in individual and business tax preparation across multiple states
• Proficient in using MS Office programs and SAP (FI/CO Module Preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent time management, task management, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong planning and analytical thinking perspective, a high sense of responsibility
• Residing in Cleveland, Ohio

• Manage all accounting processes for a mid‑size corporation, including A/P, A/R, inventory, fixed assets, and other accounting records
• Manage all tax filing and reporting at state and federal level
• Communicate with CPA and review a variety of U.S. tax returns (federal and state) with related forms and schedules
• Extract concise insights such as filing status, income sources, deductions/credits, refund/amount‑owed drivers, and cross‑year changes
• Create short verification checklists and follow‑up questions to confirm accuracy or resolve ambiguity
• Flag anomalies and edge cases (e.g., multi‑state moves, amended filings, AMT, unusual credits, penalties/interest)
• Maintain strong experience in hands‑on U.S. individual and business tax preparation across multiple states
• Produce crisp, well‑referenced notes and checklists with excellent written communication
• Ensure detail orientation with sound judgment on materiality, consistency, and data quality
• Work comfortably with provided materials while following confidentiality guidelines
