Under broad supervision, reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. May perform moderately complex analysis of performance results. Compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements and reports. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

**** Basic Purpose/Scope
** The Staff Accountant's role will be to assist the Finance team in preparing and reviewing financial documents and assisting in month-end closings.  The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing customer invoices, preparing/entering journal entries, account analysis, and state sales tax reports.  The candidate will also serve as the backup for payroll processing and accounts receivable.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Assist with the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries and account analysis.
* Prepare month-end reporting.
* Timely processing of customer invoices daily.
* Assisting in ADP Payroll Processing and Reporting.
* Prepare state sales tax reports.
* Backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
* Maintenance Support our expense reporting system (Expensify).
* Assist with the reconciliation of balance sheets and bank accounts.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
*** Education and Experience*:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
* At least two years of related work experience in accounting.
* Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
** Good technical accounting skills.
* Ability to explain and interpret fiscal-related policies and general accounting.
* Proven mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to follow up and meet deadlines is a must.
* Ability to take the initiative, display confidence, and work in a team environment.
** Physical Demands
** The Staff Accountant will be required to continuously sit; intermittent amounts of walking, standing, twisting, bending, and pushing/pulling or lifting/lowering up to approximately 5 lbs. is required.
** Work Environment
** The Staff Accountant works primarily indoors in an office environment where temperatures fluctuate, and the noise level is typically moderate.
