Crescendo Commercial Realty is looking for a Property Accountant in the Cleveland, OH area to fill a position in our Accounting Department. The Property Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting for an assigned group of commercial properties throughout the US. The Property Accountant will work with various other teams in the company to ensure day-to-day functions are done timely and accurately. This is a great opportunity to learn about the commercial real‑estate industry and what it takes to manage the ins and outs of a property with tenants.

- Prepare and post bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and other ad hoc reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries including year-end adjustments and monthly accruals.
- Monitor and review Accounts Payable weekly, ensuring invoices are coded correctly, calculate necessary pr orations, and help research any discrepancies.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly financials for various reporting purposes.
- Manage Accounts Receivable by reviewing and posting receivables, completing collection calls, and updating internal trackers.
- Ensure compliance with sales tax payments and filings.
- Budget variance reporting, and year-end budget preparation for assigned group of properties.
- Lender reporting and disbursements in accordance with loan terms and deadlines.
- Participate in CAM Reconciliations and Estimates.
- Read and interpret real estate leases.
- Prepare and send all financial statements to CPAs for tax return filing.
- Assist in annual 1099 filing process.
- Various other ad hoc reporting and projects that involve analytical skills and thinking outside of the box.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 0-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and customer service experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office products.
- Yardi real estate software experience a plus.
