Responsibilities of a Senior Consultant may include the following:

+ Driving the monthly close

+ Providing timely and accurate reporting.

+ Communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements

Our clients seek Jefferson Wells' help in providing consultants who can be hands-on with some or all of the following Accounting-related tasks:

+ General accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, account and financial statement analysis

+ Preparation/examination or analysis of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP Drive continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, improving and automating processes

+ Participation in system implementations or migrations and automation projects

+ Preparation of documentation for various accounting processes

+ Providing of audit support for external audit, including substantive and controls-related work

+ Assisting with acquisition integration - validation of opening balances and subsequent activity

+ Provide oversight of accounting treatment for Inventory, Other Assets, Leases, components of A/R, as well as other areas

+ Daily cash activity analysis and posting, forecasting

Typical Requirements for consideration:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

+ Minimum 2 years public accounting or four years of industry accounting with progressive responsibilities

+ CPA license preferred but not required

+ Advanced MS Excel capabilities including comfort with Pivot Table and Lookup functions

+ Strong knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

+ Hands-on experience with various accounting systems
