Accounts Receivable Clerk

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for providing financial and administrative support in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk position reports to the Controller. The individual will be responsible for the proper and accurate processing of receivables.

• Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate supporting documentation
• Apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts
• Monitor overdue balances and research payment discrepancies, credits and disputed charges
• Print and send customer weekly statements and invoices
• Maintain the Accounts Receivable Log for weekly customer adjustments.
• Maintain accounts receivable physical and electronic files.
• Support period end activities, including accounts receivable reconciliations, reporting and related accounting support
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Knowledge of accounts receivable.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.
• Some college preferred or equivalent experience in accounts receivable.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, along with effective written, listening and verbal skills.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational skills along with time management.
• Proficient computer skills as related to job:
  Word, Excel, Outlook,
