Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

Finatal is partnering with a growing, multi-location sales and service organization to find a Division Controller. This is a hands‑on finance leader who protects the integrity of the numbers and also helps the business grow more profitably.

Reporting to the senior accounting executive, you will own controllership for a division and act as a trusted advisor to divisional leadership.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, keeping GAAP application and reporting accurate and on time
• Strengthen internal controls, GL integrity, and audit readiness
• Turn results into clear insights, working closely with FP&A and operations to explain variances and drive decisions
• Oversee payroll and labor accounting, accruals, and benefits cost reporting in coordination with HR
• Manage working capital, including AR aging, collections, reserves, and disbursement approvals
• Partner with shared services, IT, and corporate teams to automate, simplify, and improve processes
• Develop and mentor the accounting team

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership
• Experience in a multi-location, high‑growth environment (sales, service, or manufacturing a plus)
• Strong US GAAP, internal controls, and audit exposure
• ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
• A collaborative style, with the ability to influence both finance and non-finance leaders
• A bias for execution and continuous improvement
