Assistant Controller

• Reports to the Controller and serves as their right hand
• Mix of hands-on accounting, team leadership, and process ownership

Our accounting team is growing, and we’re looking for an Assistant Controller who can keep the close running smoothly while helping us raise the bar on how we work. If you like being the person who makes the numbers trustworthy, this one’s for you.

• Keep the monthly and annual close on schedule by reviewing entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Help prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Lead audit prep, from supporting schedules to auditor questions
• Strengthen internal controls so processes hold up as we scale
• Guide, coach, and review the work of staff accountants
• Provide support on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Streamline workflows and make better use of our accounting systems
• Step in for the Controller on key deliverables when needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including some supervisory responsibility
• Strong command of GAAP and the close process
• Experience supporting external audits
• Comfort with ERP systems and advanced Excel
• Clear communication skills and a steady, organized approach
