We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day invoice processing for a manufacturing or distribution-focused environment in Cleveland, Ohio. This long-term contract opportunity is fully onsite and is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume accounts payable work with accuracy, consistency, and strong attention to detail. The person in this role will help keep payment activity organized, resolve invoice issues efficiently, and contribute to a dependable AP process.

Responsibilities:

• Process approximately 150 to 200 vendor invoices each week while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and complete three-way matching by comparing invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation before payment is approved.
• Prepare and execute a weekly check run to ensure vendors are paid according to established schedules.
• Investigate billing variances and work with internal partners or suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Assign proper account coding to invoices and verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the system.
• Support payment activity across multiple methods, including check and ACH transactions, while following company procedures.
• Enter and maintain accounts payable records in AS400 and keep documentation organized for audit readiness.
