We are looking for a detail-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join a well-established organization on a part-time, onsite basis. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys accurate financial processing, values a team-oriented workplace, and is seeking a role with long-term potential. The position offers a flexible schedule of 15-20 hours per week while supporting essential day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming vendor invoices, assign appropriate accounting codes, and enter information accurately into the organization's accounting platform.
• Verify billing documents against purchase records or other supporting materials and route items for proper authorization before payment.
• Assist with payment activities, including preparing checks and helping coordinate timely disbursements to vendors.
• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate payment variances, and help resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Maintain orderly accounts payable files and ensure financial records are complete, current, and easy to retrieve.
• Provide support during month-end close by preparing documentation and assisting with accounts payable-related accounting tasks.
• Respond to questions from vendors and internal teams regarding invoice status, payment timing, and account discrepancies.
