Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for multiple businesses in Garfield Heights, Ohio. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, overseeing invoice activity, monitoring payroll-related information, and keeping accounting data current in Quick Books. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling reconciliations, payables, receivables, and routine transaction review in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage billing and prepare customer invoices while ensuring entries are recorded accurately in the appropriate Quick Books company files.
• Review incoming vendor invoices, code them correctly, and support timely accounts payable processing across multiple business entities.
• Reconcile credit card activity each month by matching statements to transactions and recording American Express payments properly in Quick Books.
• Monitor payroll information for several businesses, verify accuracy, and coordinate with the external payroll provider as needed.
• Examine financial transactions on a daily basis to maintain complete and current accounting records.
• Review bank account activity, post cash applications, and complete regular bank reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Create tenant invoices, track rent-related balances, and prepare reports identifying rent shortages or outstanding amounts.
• Confirm recurring obligations such as insurance payments are issued on schedule for the property management business.
• Process specialized monthly client payment activity and maintain supporting documentation for accurate reporting.
