TPA Services Proposal Coordinator

Job Summary

Assists in the development, completion and submission of bids and proposals for Third Party Administration (TPA) services such as stop‑loss coverage, administrative fees, and other programs for prospects, clients and vendors. Gathers information internally and from other vendors to assimilate into the appropriate responses that best reflect the customer needs. Develops and improves language and materials for the completion of informational and pricing requests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares data reporting packages for the marketing of stop‑loss coverage. Runs reports from internal systems and gathers pertinent client data (e.g., claims, eligibility, etc.) to enable sales to shop stop‑loss and administrative fees.
  • Interacts with Sales/Service Team, stop‑loss and other vendors to firm the stop‑loss renewal and place new coverage. Follows through until final issuance of the policy.
  • Prepares proposal for delivery to the client which includes administrative fee renewal and financial illustration of the stop‑loss renewal and marketing results.
  • Maintains internal data and coordinates plan information.
  • Prepares standard legal documents and fully executed policies as applicable. Files appropriately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • Associate Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Finance or related field.
  • Equivalent education and experience directly related to the role may substitute for a degree.
  • 5 years experience in health insurance sales operations support or related area, which includes working with stop‑loss carriers.
Professional Certification(s):
  • Ohio Life and Health Insurance License a plus.
Technical Skills And Knowledge:
  • Thorough knowledge of health insurance benefits, self‑funding, stop‑loss, and medical management.
  • Knowledge of claims adjudication systems.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).
