Position

Thompson Hine LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking two (2) full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Administrative Specialists (Legal Assistants) to join our Cleveland, Ohio office. These roles are part of a support team in our Firmwide Administrative Support Center.

Responsibilities
  • Providing high-value support to attorneys and professional staff across all Thompson Hine offices.
  • Preparing, proofreading, editing, and formatting correspondence and legal documents.
  • Time entry, expense reporting, processing new business requests, travel arrangements, data entry.
  • Running document comparisons, generating tables of contents and tables of authorities.
  • Working closely with other staff and departments as necessary.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Superior grammar, punctuation, and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills/high EQ with an aptitude to work effectively as a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing litigation support.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of PDF applications (e.g., Kofax), document management systems (e.g., Net Docs), and time entry systems (e.g., Aderant).
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this Cleveland position is $53,000 to $96,500
.

Work Schedule

This position requires the employee to work on-site at the Cleveland office on a schedule determined by the Manager. Hours are either 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. ET or 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

This position is eligible to participate in a hybrid (remote/in-office) schedule upon successful completion of at least a 90-day training period.
