Work Study, Auxiliary Support (Television & Media Services) Job Description
This opportunity will provide students with theater and event production experience in a professional and educational setting. Students will assist with plays put on by our theater program and possibly events that take place in our theater spaces such as meetings, musical concerts, dance concerts, and other events with internal and external clients. During event productions students will assist with set up and strike, moving equipment on and off-stage during productions, and assist with audio, lighting and stage management.
During productions of plays students will serve as part of the run crew. This may include assisting with set and prop construction, wardrobe changes, operating the lighting board and operating the audio board.
Ideal candidates will be in the Creative Arts degree programs or have previous theater experience from high school or community theater.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with set up and strike for theater productions and events.
Move equipment on and off-stage during productions.
Assist with audio, lighting, and stage management tasks.
Serve as part of the run crew during productions of plays.
Qualifications- Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
- Adhere to College’s confidentiality policy.
- Successfully pass background/drug screening.
- Support of auxiliary or retail services.
- Familiarity with the college/campus locations.
- Work with specialized equipment as designated by position.
- Maintain consistent scheduling availability.
- Other duties as assigned.
