Overview
At the American Cancer Society, we are committed to ending cancer for all people. The Concierge is the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment. The role involves guest check‑in/out, responding to inquiries, and coordinating transportation and security.
Rate: $18.59/hr
Schedule:
Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 8:00 am–4:30 pm.
- Greet guests and manage check‑in and check‑out procedures (30%)
- Provide information about lodge amenities and community resources (20%)
- Coordinate transportation and EMPOWER Program services and schedules (15%)
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies (15%)
- Maintain organized front desk area and accurate guest records (10%)
- Monitor lobby security and implement safety protocols (10%)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi‑line phone systems
- Excellent customer service and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Minimal travel required
- Extended periods of standing and walking during front desk duties and while assisting guests
- Occasional lifting and moving of luggage, packages, or other items during guest check‑in/out or transportation assistance
- Some manual tasks, such as carrying luggage or opening doors for guests, may be required during guest interactions Physical endurance to handle the demands of a fast‑paced environment, including managing multiple tasks and assisting guests throughout the day
