Position OverviewThe position offers the chance to work with an outstanding team of board-certified pediatric cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who model collaboration, teamwork, and dedication to their patients and partners. At UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, you will have the chance to represent and further the division’s impact locally, nationally, and internationally. The Section includes ten board-certified pediatric cardiologists, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced imaging, fetal cardiology, two general cardiologists and two cardiovascular surgeons.
On the Cleveland campus, cardiac surgeries of all complexities are performed as well as fetal cardiac interventions and complex pediatric electrophysiology and catheterization procedures in the Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab/Hybrid Operating Rooms. A strong and growing fetal program now performs over 1,000 fetal echocardiograms annually and has launched a highly successful fetal intervention team in conjunction with maternal‑fetal medicine colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Provide all aspects of services including Catheter RF Ablation and Cryoablation, Electrophysiology studies, and Device Implementation.
- Participate in specialized device services/clinics, channelopathy, sudden death, and autonomic dysfunction clinics.
- Care for those with arrhythmias starting in fetal life through adulthood in association with a comprehensive ACHD program.
- Research, quality improvement, administrative development, leadership, education, and other academic pursuits are available.
- Academic rank and appointment with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine at the level of Assistant, Associate or Professor will be determined by the candidate’s credentials and experience as reviewed by the Committee on Appointments, Promotion, and Tenure.
With over 60 years of experience in the care of pediatric and ACHD patients, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital also provides the support of an outstanding educational and research enterprise at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and an internationally recognized program partner in the NCH Heart Center.
